Monday the 6th of January. The coldest I have ever ridden |
I made it to work but not back. -14 degrees with a -48 windchill would freeze up my asthmatic lungs and seek help. |
We added a longer stem on the Blue Demon's Bike. |
My trusted Chili con Crosso. |
Romeo Rd is part of our Refineries loop. |
Major roads were clean and rideable. |
Ice jam on one side of bridge, raging waters on the other side. |
Stay safe and warm.

Cool picture of the ice jam. Agatha said it is bad on the Des Plaines near her house. A frozen flood would be pretty terrible.
I've spun the cranks everyday in Janurary, even if it is just a short commute to work. I also broke my lowest temp record when I went out at midnight for that -48 windchill. Only lasted an hour in that shit.
In March I have a 125 mile route for us to ride, it has 10,000ft of climbing. That will get some hills in our legs before the big day. Starts in Freeport.
Love,
Chad
Lovely Llama,
We cannot wait to ride with you. I am glad that you and the Double Wide Boys have hooked up for quality miles out in Franklin Grove. As soon as the weather breaks I will be driving out your way.
best,
Ari
