August Happenings

August has been a busy, busy month for us at the shop. We have done endless repairs, flats and builds. WE are headed for a beautiful week of weather and I think the trend will continue. The only thing that has suffered has been our riding. Arriving home dead tired is a hard motivation to get out. I am excited to get out and do the Demi-dirt and burn some demons.
best,

This 46cm Spacehorse did not fit the wife right so we are going to sell the frame.

Our shop guys gettin out for a group road ride.

The most overbuilt 1x1 ever. Rohloff, suspension. This thing is a tank and it rides awesome.

Custom wheels for the bosses new C-dale.

NOS cannondale six-13 Alu-carbon frame, ultegra,

Dereek Von Weider and I riding towards Batavia. That's the night I went to turn on my blinker that was on my forkblade and my hand got sucked into the spokes. OUCH!

We received a new Moonlander before other shops would hoard them.

Derek Von Weider (Center) finishing Trans Iowa 9 on his first attempt
Trans Iowa V9. I had nothing on the bike except a saddlebag with repair stuff.
Gumby hanging out in the fields.
Nothing hits the spot like Pizza. Trans Iowa V9

My chili got Chili electronic shifting. You squeeze the Chilis and the bike shifts. You can also color coordinate.

  1. We've remained busy as well. Wish more bikes were going out the door though. The weather has been fantastic so that sure helps.

  2. I sure have been showroomed to death a couple of times though. Sizing, all the info then the right price found on Craigslist or Ebay.
So it goes when one is bottomfeeder.

  3. Surprised that you didn't have more on your bike than just that seat bag. It's taken me a couple of years, but I'm so happy to not carry anything on my back for long events.

  4. Jay Barre and I did those Iowa missions and we always had the Camelbaks with us. Also Commuting to work and back on a daily basis got us used to carrying stuff. I am always looking for new ideas on how to carry stuff. The framebags are good but I feel like I take a bunch of stuff that I don't need. I also dread the 40lb bike when all said and done.
